Brian mc Carthy was born in Drogheda, Ireland, in 1972 and has lived and worked in Mondsee for many years. His visual language took shape in London's experimental art scene, among the musicians and artists of the 1990s. For more than two decades he has built work where strong colour meets embedded text fragments, moving between personal and social subjects. In 2023 his work was shown at the Art for Children charity auction at the Albertina in Vienna.
