Once a year, we open submissions around a theme – a “Plot.” Any emerging artist, anywhere, can submit. No application fee. No jury. No portfolio requirements. Just the work.
All submissions go public. Real people vote. The community – not a committee – picks the winner. Votes are public and transparent. Guest designs may also be included by community agreement.
The winning design goes onto a shirt made in Europe, on organic cotton. 25% of revenue to a community-chosen cause. Full financials published. Every artist – visible here, forever. QR code on every label.

We didn’t choose Das Merch. because they make a good shirt. We chose them because in 2012 – when nobody was asking these questions – they decided to do it differently. From the very first day, fair production and sustainable materials were the only option. Not a pivot. Not a rebrand. A founding principle.
Based in Linz, Austria, they produce everything in a family-run workshop in Fafe, Portugal – a town they’ve invested in personally. They have an office there. They visit regularly. They know the workers by name. This is not a supply chain they manage from a distance. It’s a family they built.
All materials are GOTS-certified organic cotton, recycled polyester, or Lyocell from wood fibres. Zero plastic packaging – paper boxes only. Only GOTS-certified printing partners. Every production step transparent and published. Their mission: create 1,000 fair jobs in the EU textile industry.
The shirt you wear is not an afterthought. It is as considered as the art printed on it.
